Lloyd's story begins in the United States, where she was raised in a loving and supportive home. But when she was 19 years old, she traveled to Southeast Asia and saw firsthand the horrific conditions that many girls were living in. She was shocked and horrified by what she saw, and she knew that she had to do something to help.

Lloyd returned to the United States and began working with an organization that was fighting against human trafficking. She quickly learned about the complex issues surrounding this crime, and she became determined to make a difference in the lives of girls who had been exploited.

Over the next several years, Lloyd worked tirelessly to raise awareness about human trafficking and to advocate for policies that would protect girls from being bought and sold. She traveled to dozens of countries, met with survivors of human trafficking, and worked with law enforcement and government officials to crack down on traffickers.

In 2009, Lloyd founded Girls Not Brides, a global partnership of organizations working to end child marriage. Girls Not Brides works to empower girls and to change the attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate child marriage. The organization has made significant progress in a number of countries, and it is helping to create a world where girls are free to make their own choices about their lives.

Lloyd's work is inspiring and life-changing. She is a tireless advocate for girls and women, and she is making a real difference in the world. Fighting For World Where Girls Are Not For Sale is a powerful book that will open your eyes to the horrors of human trafficking and inspire you to take action.
